ABOUT US
The New Mexico Faith Coalition for Immigrant Justice was founded in 2009, and has committees that focus on direct service, education & advocacy, and outreach. We welcome all who seek immigrant justice. We share a common hope of creating an environment that welcomes the stranger in our age and for generations to come.
Mission
Collaborate with faith communities to create an ecumenical and interfaith alliance in the state of New Mexico for immigrant justice. In this mission we seek to:
-
Educate our community about immigrant issues
-
Provide compassionate services to immigrant families
-
Advocate for humane immigration reform that promotes family unity, and respects the inherent dignity of every person
Vision
As people of faith, we are committed to promoting comprehensive, humane immigration reform and working on behalf of those who are affected by unjust laws that do not reflect these higher values:
-
Dignity of the person
-
Unity of the family
-
Richness in diversity
-
Freedom of the pursuit of purpose
We uphold these values through our work of direct service, accompaniment, education, and advocacy.
